New Clothing Options!

Hi again! The other day while my Dolly Mom was in Target, she bought me a few new surprises. She said she would show me one of the surprises right now and wait to show me there others. It's an "Our Generation" outfit! This company makes clothing and accessories for 18 inch dolls like me. My Dolly Mom says that American Girl is great, but it's always fun to have other options to expand my wardrobe and accessories.

This outfit is a really cute short set. It comes with several pieces, so I can always mix and match it with my other clothing too!

The back of the box tells a great story about how girls of "Our Generation" do great things to help the world and other people!

I love how this outfit looks on me! It will also be great for the warm weather coming up!

Back to School Again...with a Modern Touch!

Hi everyone! Did you notice anything different in my last post? I was still wearing my school outfit, but I made it modern! I kept my sweater and boots, but switched my dress to a white tank top and leggings. I love this new look!

I love my historical School Outfit, but I couldn't wait to try on the modern "Sweet School Outfit" that I got in the mail the other day. So I did! I think it looks great on me!

I think my favorite parts of the outfit are the cute little barrette (I love barrettes in my hair) as well as the cute little flower near the collar!

Well, I guess it's time for me to hit the books and study! Hope to see you again soon!

Special Delivery

Hi again! Today I received a special delivery in the mail. It was my order from American Girl!

First thing I opened was the hair pick. This will be a big help with keeping my hair neat and pretty!

Then I opened the "Sweet School Dress" package. Really love it!

The outfit came with a "Proud" charm. My Dolly Mom says I have the necklace to hold the charms and she will take it out for me someday to wear.

Can't wait to wear this dress!

Next I opened the "Holiday Dress". It was really nice too and came with lots of things!

Another charm to add to my necklace! This one is the "Kind" charm!

Isn't this dress so pretty!

School Time!

Hi everyone! It's Rebecca again! Well it's been one week now since I've been in my new home. I'm still loving it! My Dolly Mom is so great, that I didn't even argue with her today when she told me it was time for school. Well, I knew I wasn't actually going to school, but since a new school week had started, it was time for me to dress the part. Here I am in my "School Outfit"!

I really like this outfit! The sweater is such a pretty blue color. It is nice and soft! It also matches the picture on the front of the second book in my historical series, "Rebecca and Ana" about me and my cousin. My Dolly Mom read the book and said she loved it!

My Dolly Mom did say that the bow that came with this outfit was difficult though. It came in one long ribbon and she had to tie it in a bow and attach it to my hair using a bobby pin. She wished that it came already tied into a bow with it's own clip.

Well, I better start studying since now I have the perfect outfit for it!

Maybe someday my Dolly Mom will get me my School Lunch and Accessories (hint...hint...:-)

Shopping Therapy and Enjoying Nature!

Hi again! It's me Rebecca! Although Friday had really nice weather, the weekend was rainy and rather dreary. I was sort of disappointed with it being my first weekend out of the box. :-(
My Dolly Mom said that I needed some "Shopping Therapy" to boost my spirits. So we went online and decided to order some new things.
I actually really needed this item. It's a hair pick for my hair. The brush I have works fine and my Dolly Mom knows how to style my hair so it looks really pretty. However, it appears that this pick may make styling my hair even easier. I guess we'll see!

We also decided to order two dresses that were great deals on sale! They were 50% off the original price!
First we purchased this "Brocade Holiday Dress"

We also chose this "Sweet School Dress"!

I know the two dresses are not part of my historical collection, but I really enjoy dressing as a modern girl too. Plus, who can pass up such great deals?
Later on Sunday, the weather cleared up a bit and I was able to go outside. I saw some pretty daffodils!

I also saw what I think might be mini lilies. (Not actually sure of the accurate name for this flower???)

I also met some fun frogs! Of course, they are not real frogs, but they were still fun to see!

Despite the weather, all in all, it was a great Sunday! Talk to you soon!

Casual Friday!

Hi again! I've been having fun in my new home. Here I am, just stopping to smell the flowers!

Here I am outside again. Can you tell that I am smiling even more than I was the other day?

My Dolly Mom told me that since it's Friday, I can be more casual and time travel to the present day. She picked out this pretty floral top and denim capri outfit for me to wear. I LOVE it!

I decided to add a hat from the American Girl set that my Dolly Mom bought at the store the other day. I know it doesn't exactly match my outfit, but I think it makes me look so cute!

My First Post

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I'm an American Girl Doll! I am so happy because today I was bought from a store and brought to my new home. I'm so excited to be out of the store and with my new family! Here I am in my box when I first arrived. Can they hear me asking them to let me out? I can't wait!

She bought me some modern clothing that was not part of my collection, but I love it too! I'm looking forward to time traveling to the present day and being a modern girl from 2014!

I also got a cool pair of sunglasses. I know they don't go with my historical outfit, but I couldn't resist trying them on. I think they make me look like a move star!
